One day at a tag sale, I came across an old issue of a magazine I have never seen before, "Somerset Studio". It contained an article about an artist Keith LoBue. After reading the article, I was amazed, as I had never known that this type of art existed -- it was like an awakening for me, as if I had been in a deep slumber all these years!
From that point on, I began to create, it has given me a sense of gratification and it feels as if a void in my soul has been filled.
My fascination of collage is like a visual statement from times past and forgotten, a quote by Mr. LoBue I love to use, "little vapors of memories", best describes my passion behind my art. To be able to create meaning where there wasn't much meaning before, therefore I am compelled to use vintage images that are pained and bittersweet, an image that is visually stimulating to stir the soul, to ponder & wonder about times forgotten.
